We are seeking a skilled SRE/DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us enhance our infrastructure resilience, streamline our deployment processes, and ensure the security and efficiency of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Scaling: Configure and manage automated scaling for VMs and databases to optimize performance and reduce costs.
  • Alerting and Monitoring: Configure and maintain robust alerting systems for Azure outages and events, integrating with tools like PagerDuty to ensure real-time awareness and response.
  • Build/Deploy Best Practices: Develop and enforce best practices for our build and deploy processes, including management of build agents, pipelines, and Docker image storage/retention.
  • Containerization: Lead the transition to containerization, managing the adoption of technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, and establishing guidelines for their use.
  • Access and Security: Manage Azure/Active Directory permissions, ensuring secure and efficient user access control.
  • Remote Security Policies: Develop and oversee remote security policies, including VPN usage and developer access to production resources, to ensure the integrity and security of our systems.
  • Azure Maintenance: Take ownership of Azure maintenance tasks including service updates and security patching.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Implement and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Bicep.
  • Incident Response: Participation in on-call rotations and escalations for Azure services with a keen ability to identify and triage issues across the OSI model.

What We Are Looking For:

    • Bachelor's Degree in CS or related technical experience, combined with 5+ years proven experience as an SRE/DevOps Engineer or similar role.
    • Strong understanding of Azure services and management tools, or related cloud technologies.
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies.
    • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Bicep. 
    • Familiarity with Load Testing concepts and technologies, such as JMeter.
    • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux.
    • Ability to create and manage CI/CD pipeline, preferably in Azure DevOps.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
